Overview
There is a low pressure system over the Midwest & Great Lakes region that will continue to move East and away from our area. A weak warm front will move through the Dakotas, tonight. Elsewhere, a developing low over Texas will continue to move East and bring a risk for severe weather to affected areas.
Discussion
A warm front to our west will continue to move through the Northern Plains and across the Dakotas, after Midnight. Currently there is some shower & wintry mix activity along this front. Most of the high resolution models show precip dissipating as this system moves into our area. In advance of this system we will begin to see increasing clouds. I am leaving a chance for scattered rain/showers for Western ND. Any shower activity will be hit & miss and not everyone will get wet. This system will move through our area after Midnight. During the early morning hours we will see some patchy fog developing in parts of our area. Through the late morning, expect lingering fog to lift up and burn off. Skies will clear out early revealing plenty of sunshine, allowing temperatures to climb through the 40s and well into the 50s across the state. This mild feel will warm up as temps continue to climb through the next few days. By Thursday we will be seeing temperatures well into the 60s and by Friday & Saturday, daytime highs will be on either side of 70. I am tempted to go a little warmer with temps late this week and into the weekend, but will hold off for now.

Through the rest of tonight & Wednesday
Overnight we will start with fair to partly cloudy skies and temperatures falling through the 20s. After Midnight, expect increasing clouds with the chance for a few scattered showers. This passing front will also cause winds to swing around to the SE, becoming light.

7day planner
In lieu of a passing weak system, skies will clear out followed by temperatures warming back into an unseasonably warm and pleasant range through most of the week and Weekend. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures will climb into the upper 60s & lower 70s. Cloud cover will start to work its way back into the forecast as we wrap up the weekend. A few of the long range models are hinting at our next chance for rain during the beginning of the work week.
