Overview
There is a low pressure system over the Midwest with a front stretched East to the Mid- Atlantic coastline. A second low is over Southern Texas. Both of these systems are bringing a risk for severe weather to affected areas. A third low is over the Northern Plains and will move through the Dakotas, tomorrow.

Discussion
Across the area today we saw mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. High temperatures today were in the 50s & 60s for the most part. The warm spot on the map was Southeast North Dakota. The almanac shows that in Bismarck/Mandan, there was a high of 62 and a low of 48. The high temperature was close to the seasonable norm. In Dickinson there was a high of 53 and low of 39 and below average.
A weak low pressure system over Montana & the Dakotas has become occluded. This system will continue to develop as it moves East & NE during the next 24 hours. Through Wednesday we will see scattered light rain. As this system moves out of our area Wednesday night & Thursday, expect clearing skies with a cool feel. In the wake of this redeveloping system, a cold front will cross through our area Thursday night, bringing a chance for scattered rain & a possible wintry mix. As of this evening, model guidance is mainly pointing at parts of Southwest ND that will be affected by this second system.
Headlines include a low pressure system that will move through the Dakotas during the day, tomorrow. Expect in & out clouds with winds becoming moderate to strong and gusty. Rain chances will return as a low moves East, across the state.

Through the rest of tonight & Wednesday
Temperatures will fall through the 50s and into the 40s with a moderate to strong wind for much of Southwest, ND. There will be some clearing tonight, followed by increasing clouds and rain chances returning tomorrow. Highs will climb to either side of 60 with winds becoming moderate to strong and gusty. By Thursday, plenty of sunshine, with another chance of rain in the southwestern corner of the viewing area, overnight.

A low pressure system will continue to move through the Dakotas through Wednesday. Tonight, we will see a lull in the rain and temperatures falling to either side of 40. In the wake of a passing system, we will see some clearing and temps topping out on either side of 60s. Through Saturday, lows will be in the 30s & 40s and highs on either side of 60. Our next chance for rain will be with a front that moves through the area Thursday night & Friday. In the wake of this next system, our weekend will bring a mixture of sunshine & cloud cover with gradually warming temperatures through the beginning of the work week. Friday, Saturday & Sunday mornings, parts of our area could see possible frost.

Tonight, we will see clearing skies with off/on scattered rain starting up again, after Midnight.. Lows on either side of 40 with a South wind 5-15mph G20. 20% chance for rain.

Wednesday will bring mostly cloudy skies with another round of scattered rain, followed by gradually tapering rain chances. A low pressure system will move East & NE, out of our area. Highs on either side of 60 with a South/West wind 15-25mph G35. 40% chance for rain.

Wednesday night, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with continued tapering rain chances, followed by clearing skies. Lows on either side of 40 with a NW wind 10-20mph & Gusty.

Thursday, we will see plenty of sunshine at times with in & out clouds and temps climbing into a seasonable range. highs 58-64. NW wind 10-20mph G30.

Thursday night, expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance for showers and a wintry mix possible. Lows in the 30s with a NW/North wind 5-15mph G25.
