Discussion
A warm front continues to move through the Dakotas. This front is bringing pleasant temps & clearing skies. Today, mild temps topped out in the 20s & 30s through Western, ND. This pleasantly cool feel will continue through tonight & tomorrow. Wednesday temps will remain mild and climb a little more (than today) with gradually increasing clouds. This mild trend will come to a brief pause (Thursday) with a weak cold front. In the meantime, the biggest challenge in the forecast focuses on  developing fog this evening. Fog may become dense for much of Western & Central, ND. Visibility may fall below a quarter mile in parts of our area before lifting up and burning off during the late morning & midday hours, Wednesday. Tomorrow will
bring another round of pleasant temps topping out in the 20s & 30s.

Thursday, we will see a brief change-up. A weak front & piece of energy will move through the area Wednesday night through Thursday evening. Expect very little day-time warming, resulting in a chilly feel and temps in the teens. Scattered snow is forecast beginning Wednesday night and lasting into the afternoon hours Thursday. It will move west to east across North Dakota. Accumulations will be light and below 2" with most of the affected area only seeing up to 1" of new snow. By the end of the work week and through this weekend, we will see temps rebound into a pleasant range.

Through the rest of tonight & Wednesday
Expect in & out clouds with fog developing and becoming wide spread & dense through much of Western, ND. Visibility will be reduced to less than a quarter mile for many and freezing fog is expected for some. Temperatures will range through the teens with a few single digits. Tomorrow fog will lift up and burn off by Midday with temps climbing into the 20s & 30s again. We will see increasing clouds with rising snow chances through tomorrow night.

 7day planner
